DOOR DECORATING CONTEST
SHOW YOUR TEAM SPIRIT TO EVERYONE ON YOUR DECK
WHAT'S THIS DOOR DECORATING STUFF ALL ABOUT?
If you’re new to cruising, you might be wondering why people decorate their cabin doors. After all, you don’t do that at a hotel or guest house, but on a cruise, it’s practically part of the lineup.
-
Decorating your cabin door can help you find your cabin. Cruise ships are big, and it’s easy to feel like you’ve wandered the entire lower concourse of Daikin Park just trying to find your cabin. A decorated door makes it easy to spot your home base, even if you’ve been testing the limits of your drink package.
-
Door decorations can make your room more festive. A decorated cabin door adds personality and fun; a little flair that says you’re ready to enjoy the voyage. Celebrate your team spirit and let your creative instincts run wild. It’s a great way to step up to the plate.
-
It can help you meet new people. A decorated door tends to draw friendly faces. Think of it as your chance to spark conversations, meet fellow cruisers, and build memories that go well beyond the box score.
YES, BUT YOU SAID CONTEST...
Absolutely. Our Cruise Host team will start judging doors on Day 2 of the cruise. Our judges will place ribbons near their favorite doors cabins on Day 3, and our overall MVP cabin will receive a medal at our Awards Show on the final sea day.
DOOR DECORATING DETAILS & RESTRICTIONS
-
Cabin doors are 22” x 80” (ADA rooms vary).
-
The doors themselves are not magnetic, but the surrounding walls are, so you’ve still got plenty of room to play ball.
-
Carnival requests that no tape be used to attach décor, though this isn’t strictly enforced.
